Matt's Priorities

My priorities are to end gerrymandering, protect our environment, enact responsible gun legislation, ensure health care for all and make our schools safe. I worked on a dairy farm for several years and learned to appreciate the value of agriculture and our food chain. I then worked several years as an assistant manager at McDonald’s. There I learned how to schedule staff and budget business finances. After I attended MATC and WCTC, I went to work as an industrial mechanic. This required skills in troubleshooting, problem solving and maintaining equipment. I served on the Safety Committee and the negotiating team with AFSCME. After 38 years I retired. I have demonstrated collaboration and have the best interests of the people at heart.
